About Us

Lakhile Industrial Supplies, is a private limited liability company that was founded and incorporated in 2014. The company is 60% owned by Vegago, a wholly black women owned entity, and 40% by Batuka Holdings, a mojority black women owned entity. The company is a Level 1 BBEEE Contributor and is 80% women owned. Lakhile is also a women led and significantly woman managed company.

The company’s vision is to be a significant player in the procurement activities of South Africa’s leading industries such as Mining, Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial, Transport and Logistics through the supply of petroleum products and engineering related products.

The company sees its stakeholders as shareholders, suppliers, employees, communities, the environment, government and regulatory institutions.

Through its profits the company plans to support previously disadvantaged communities through the issuing of bursaries to historically disadvantaged students in the Mpumalanga and Eastern Cape Provinces.

What we do

Lakhile Industrial Supplies (“Lakhile”) is a newly formed black women and youth, owned and managed company whose vision and objective is to be a leading emerging company within its chosen Industry.

The company’s primary activity is in the wholesale supply of petroleum products to bulk users in the mining, healthcare, industrial, farming, construction, transport and logistics industries.

Lindiwe Mthimunye-Bakoro

Lindiwe Mthimunye-Bakoro is the Chief Executive Officer of Lakhile Industrial Supplies. She is a Chatrtered Accountant with a Masters in Commerce and a Diploma in Tax [CA (SA), MCom (UCT), H Dip Tax Law (Wits)].

She is the Founder of Vega Capital Partners (Pty) Ltd and has held positions in the following companies:

  • COO, Bakoro Capital Partners, 2008-2012
  • Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Palau Structured Solutions, 2006-2007

Vezi Msibi

Vezi Msibi is the Business Development Director of Lakhile Industrial Supplies. He is also chairman of Batuka Holdings and Batuka Capital. Vezi has a BCom (Economics) from the University of Natal and a Masters in Business Administration from UCT Graduate School of Business.

Prior to embarking on his entrepreneurial journey. Vezi had an extensive successful career that spurns over 12 years in investment banking focusing on private equity, leverage finance and corporate finance.

He worked for the following institutions:

  • Investec Bank;
  • Sanlam Capital Markets ;
  • Industrial Development Corporation; and
  • Standard Bank’s Corporate & Investment Banking.

Post his formal employment he established a start-up company in manufacturing based in KwaZulu-Natal which he ran successfully and managed for 2.5 years until he exited in 2013. Post 2013, Vezi re-established Batuka Capital, a company that focuses in transaction advisory and capital raising.

In addition to his academic achievement, financial and business experience he has an extensive network in the targeted industries to which the companies products will be supplied.
